The Premier Fly Rod:
St. Croix Premier fly rods are a hand crafted fly rod from premium SCII graphite blanks; they offer a smooth moderate-fast action fly rod beginners in particular find pleasantly forgiving.

The Premier fly rod series has eight rods hand crafted from the same premium SCII graphite blanks as The Imperial™ series, however with more modest components. This makes them a more affordable fly rod option for those just starting out or for those of use on a tight budget.
You will find models in the Premier Series in line weights of 5, 6, and 8, and that come in 2 piece and 4 piece models.
The bottom line is that there is not a better rod under $100 anywhere.
