Casting Rods
Casting Rods are designed for a baitcasting level-wind reels. Casting rods can range from the six foot freshwater bass variety to ten foot jigging rods and lots of sizes in between.
Casting rods are best for top-water plug applications and drift fishing heaver weights and lures. They present a relatively stiff backbone with the spline on the same side as the guides. They typically have a fast taper tip that provides for long cast.
Deep jigging rods are the heaviest and are intended to pull a big fish off of bottom structure or out of a stiff current.
