The fiberglass fly rods perform well and even today with the newer rod available many fly anglers still prefer a fiberglass rod to the others. Just because it is made from fiberglass do not think you are choosing or fishing with an inferior fly rod. Why else would a majority of fly rods being made today be using fiberglass.
