Graphite Fly Rods
stronger, more fighting power
![]() |
The graphite fly rods are a little more expensive; however, they are lighter than the fiberglass fly rod. Graphite performs better when casting than other fly rods. The graphite fly rod is stronger giving you more fighting power when trying to land your trophy. They also can handle many different types of fishing situations.
The graphite fly rod will tend to be a little more flexible then the fiberglass rod. That is why some experienced fly anglers prefer them. If the fly angler is using light line, the added flexibility will improve their chances of getting a good hook set, without breaking of their tippet.
The additional power and flexibility allows for the fly rod to do more of the work while fight a fish. Meaning that a sudden turn or jump can be handled with the fly rods reaction to the amount of pressure against it.
As an experience fly angler, you will enjoy the benefits of using a graphite rod. Since they are lighter you will be able to fish longer with out getting tired. The graphite fly rod will allow you to reach the holes and seam that you were unable to reach before since they will cast farther. The fly rod will have the power when you need it while battling that trophy fish.
